Ate here a couple of years ago and returned tonight for an early dinner. It's a tiny place, 4 tables and 12 bar stools. Service is quick and friendly, and the burgers are excellent. Had the Duck Duck Goose, with a duck burger, goose pate, and a duck egg, which was very well balanced. My partner had the pimento cheese burger, also very good. The fries are homemade and tasty. Small craft beer list, mostly national brands but a couple of local.
The food was top notch! I had the Reuben and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. My wife had a fantastic 'Hot Mess' burger. Great service too. This is a small place so expect to be bumping into others. It's in the Downtown Historic District.
You are making a mistake if you don't eat hear. You are making a mistake if you don't get the mac and cheese. My duck burger was heaven.
You are making a mistake if you think it's too pricey. It's a lot of food for a very fair price. I've paid just as much at corporate or even fancy places and I usually pay more for 1/5 the enjoyment. The ambience is world class. Eat hear. Everyone else is wrong in your party if they say no. Seating is limited so plan ahead.
I had a really good burger here last week with onion rings. Both were phenomenally tasteful, not your average burger for sure. It had brie and some other creative touches which made the burger unique. I had the 92 to Life cocktail which was refreshing and went nicely with my meal. The service was attentive yet not imposing. Classy pub atmosphere.
Really nice pub style food. The restaurant is pretty small and they don't take reservations, but they do take "call ahead" seating. If you don't "call ahead", be prepared to wait. They serve cocktails/beer/wine but the bar is only for dinner seating. Menu is good and the food is always wonderful. Wait staff are friendly and efficient.
