Customer service is a bit lacking. I broke my heel for work the night before so I went to get a new pair so I could go to work in a couple hours. It took at least 35 minutes of walking around with 4 pairs of heel and grabbing from top shelves over 2 feet above my head before I was even able to ask an associate that wasn't too busy talking to another employee or gawking over guys for help. When asked if a pair of shoes that were on the sale rack were on sale (they were everywhere else, seeing as they were last season) I was given a rude "No, they are new this year..." Employee was annoyed that I had asked if there was a pair in box that weren't on shelf. I asked what the difference between two different shoes that had the same brand and look and they had no idea, they tried to google it but didn't ever give an answer. After paying at check out she asked if I wanted to save 20%, after realizing it was going to take way too long I told her I was in a hurry and had to get to work she seemed even more annoyed saying, "Okay, I was just trying to save you money..." with a rude tone. If I didn't have to have the shoes and be at work I would have left. I definitely wouldn't recommend.
I have shopped at this location for 3 1/2 years and service has been okay. When we lived in Raleigh the service was excellent. I applied for a job and was told to come see Olga for an interview. She told me I was to old to represent a product line. This is sad to me. The Mayfaire location has provided better service. I just hated the traffic but after the treatment I received I will be driving. I refuse to help or purchase items from a store that disrespects people.

Disappointed this time. Children's clothes were very expensive even with 50 percent off.
Belk's has gone down a long ways from where it use to be. Never a time that I have been there that I have ever found clothes and items not on the floor and trampled. Under staffed badly. The bathrooms are always nasty and mostly no tissue or soap to wash your hands. The carpet is filthy and never gets vacuumed. Raining in the ceiling tiles. The entire department inside and outside needs a complete over haul. Such a shame that the company would allow this to happen. The father of Belk's would be so disappointed in his heirs.
