Got the exact Japanese Maple I was looking for to go In a Bonsai pot to work on.
Went in today to pick up some more bloem planter inserts. Found that the garden center portion was pretty well empty which was surprising. Then found out there are new owners. Long story short, an employee, older lady, asks if she could help. I told her what I looking for, showed picture from my phone via web, and she said abruptly oh yes we don't have those, why don't you Google them. While I would normally look forward to new changes of a store, this lady's lofty attitude just did not set well with me. Will be long long time before I patronize this store again. At least the store kitties are still there and happy to greet people!
Lou's Flower World has become one of my favorite places to visit in Wilmington. Their selection of indoor and outdoor plants are healthy and affordable for the quality. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable. During my last visit the garden staff went above and beyond to save a precious mini rose for my daughter by pruning, fertilizing and repotting. The customer service and entire staff at Lou's is committed to providing a level of service that is not often found in retail. I've never had a bad experience and all my indoor and outdoor plants are thriving!
Really enjoyed browsing this store on a lazy Saturday. We ended up buying 2 beautiful geraniums that were on a great sale and Meyer's lotion that I was glad I could find locally. I love the direction this store is taking but hope they add a few more affordable gift items for gardeners.
