Before you do anything here, get it in writing. After telling two agents where we were going, we got a travel money card and got half way around the world before being told the card wouldn't work in the country we were in. 12 days in a foreign country without our money. At least the manager here gave us a $60 silver AAA membership upon our furious return...all it cost me was a $2,100 vacation.
What do you look for when you need your car serviced... Honesty, Professionalism and Knowledge and that's what I get at AAA Service Centers. I was a regular customer of one in Raleigh for several years and when I recently moved to the coast I immediately looked for one in Wilmington. I needed to have a used car that I had just bought looked at due to several warning lights that came on. After thoroughly checking the entire vehicle as I requested, the only problem they found was a faulty gas cap. How many auto service centers do you think would actually come back and say it's only a $30 gas cap that was the problem? Not many and this is why I use AAA. The rep I worked with was excellent as well and while I hope I never have car trouble again, when I do, I will absolutely go back to this center on Oleander again.

After getting a brand new battery from Advanced Auto Parts, my car died in traffic. I new it was the alternator because the death was electrical (my radio & window power died first, then everything else). I got it towed to the AAA Car Care Center and they charged my battery & then told me nothing was wrong with my car. I brought it back when my check engine light came back on a week later and insisted that they give me a new alternator. A WEEK LATER when I picked it up, the battery, brake, and ABS lights came on after about 10 minutes of driving. I brought it back and asked them to fix whatever they broke that caused the lights to come on, and they gave me attitude, reminding me that they didn't diagnose my car to fix the alternator, I asked them. Finally, they replaced the 2nd alternator and realized it was faulty. My car has been working fine since then.
