So far so good. I opened an online HYS acount with them in 5 minutes. I'll check in in a week to see if I get the confirmation email they promised within five days.
I purchased a 12 months CD with Live Oak in April of 2017. I was able to see my statement for approximately 1 or 2 months. After that, they changed the rules and even after numerous emails and phone conversations, they have me locked out of the account at the present time. They don't mail paper statements, therefore I have no idea if they are adding interest to my account or even if my account still exists. I resorted to sending them a letter informing them I would not be rolling over the CD at maturity and instructions on where to mail the check next April. I just hope my money is still there and I even get a check at that time.
Just had the easiest time opening a personal savings account with them. It took less than 5 minutes and their customer service is fantastic. I could not recommend Live Oak Bank more!
It was incredibly easy to open a savings account online. Aside from their amazing interest rates, the customer service was phenomenal. R.J. helped me with any questions that I had. It was nice talking to someone local and not some foreign call center.
The bank offers great rates but has the worst telephone customer service there ever is. They have you on hold for close to 30 minutes before anyone answers the phone. They need more workers for customer service..
Don't do business with this screwball outfit.
