I have been a patient of Dr. Nicholson since I was 14. That is 48 years. Most of his staff has been with him for 40 plus years. That really says something about him.
I love the staff, they are really nice and always courteous. However, I am really starting to question Dr. Nicholson's skill as a dentist. He has been my dentist for the past decade, and just recently changed doctors since moving to Raleigh 2 years ago. I was traveling 2 hours to wilmington for my appointments, but after so many frustrating visits (root canals that were never finished because he couldn't reach the root and he tried to charge me full price for a second root canal for the same tooth, faulty bridges/crowns and didn't last), I finally decided to go see Dr. Cheek in raleigh. His xrays showed that 4 of my teeth had been infected for a long period of time already. He actually gave me a short term and long term plan of how to get my teeth back in order. I felt like he actually cared for me as a person and a patient, which I never got from Dr. Nicholson. Some people go into careers for the money and some people are genuinely passionate about their job. I wish I had questioned the ability of this dentist earlier. I know that ppl don't usually put a review unless its bad. I just wanted to share a bad experience while I hope that others can prove me wrong and write a good review. Thanks.
