I asked where an item could be found. I was told "maybe over there" and was pointed to a certain area. I searched for another 15 minutes and could not find the item. I asked another employee and was again pointed to a completely different area of the store. Again no one offered to help me find it.
I don't normally review stores but have to say, I really like Office Depot. Their site is very easy to use. Their on line chat is quick and very helpful. I enjoy the rewards and like that they donate 5% to the school of my choice. Also next day shipping is a big plus!

Normally there is a long wait for something simple. They ship for the Postal Service but they don't have fragile stamps or tape for the priority boxes. The workers are friendly they just need a better customer service system. It makes no sense to wait 15-20 minutes for something that takes 5 minutes tops. I have never been here and didn't have an extended wait. They need to train their employees to atleast acknowledge a customer when they approach.
We bought a laptop today and are having basic programming issues with it. We called FIVE TIMES and finally someone answered the phone without hanging up on us. Getting hung up on FOUR times is entirely uncalled for. I can understand if it was once because the person dropped the phone in haste, but four times is ridiculous! Then when someone did answer, they said it was a software malfunction and to bring it back. It seriously makes me wonder if they're selling refurbished computers as new. Who has problems straight out the box immediately after set up?! Yes we will return it and then go immediately to Staples. We will NEVER be back. They should pay us gas money for having to drive an hour one way back to their store!
