Food was wholesomebasic fare. The Creme Brolet was great. Helpful and courteous waitress. I dared to try their pork chop with apple relish. It was no where near the quality I had experienced in some San Fransisco Bay area restaurants. Those were amazing. I would rate Henry's version as a C plus. At least it wasn't dry but it lacked the savory zest I'm used to on the West coast. What can I say...its Wilmington standards, not San Fransico bay standards. Keep trying guys.
One of the places I have always wanted to go. Got the opportunity last night and was not disappointed. Had the Reuben sandwich and customer service was excellent. Owner was on the floor and visited every table. Great experience.
My friend's mother booked this place because I had a special room for birthday parties. We surprised her grandmother. We had almost 20 people in the room and nothing felt crowded. The food was absolutely delicious I got the scallops over creamy orzo and spinach and our daughters got the fried shrimp dinner my husband got the pot roast dinner everything was wonderful. Our server for the entire room was Marisa she was amazing! The service was friendly, fast and accurate. She never missed a refill on a soda or water she was right on time with the to-go plates and brought us extra serving plates for the cake! I even mentioned to the manager how wonderful she was to handle such a large crowd. Thank you Marisa for making our grandma's birthday extra special!! I can honestly recommend this restaurant for large family gatherings and birthday parties. Everyone was happy.
This has been my 'go to' place for shrimp/grits for about 15 yrs. I have recommended to others. I 'survived' when they changed from the grit cake to 'regular' grits BUT when you start messing with the recipe I am so darn upset! My guy had the prime rib sandwich ... great ... AND the onion rings are the best anywhere. Randi was the server and was great (except was not real responsive when I wasn't happy with my meal). The mgr. actually brought my food. I mentioned that it was a different 'color'. He said ... "oh, it will taste the same" with no real concern. Well, It didn't. I told the server that and she said "it has something to do with who's in the kitchen". NO ONE offered to make me another plate. I have been given the recipe in the past. It needed more parmesan cheese and whatever spice has made it 'brown' needs to be omitted. Randi mentioned that there is a new exec. chef. This may be the answer. When I left I told the mgr. that my meal did not taste the same. He said "well, we'll work on that". I felt that no one really cared that I did not enjoy my meal. I have a Lifetime card. I gave this a 2 star rating because 'not even the manager really cared!" I have never seen this mgr. before.
My family and I went to Henry's for my daughter's sweet "16". We were to reserve their exquisite pine room . The staff and management we more than accommodating!! The food was delish as well. They made my daughter's night a very memorable and extremely special one. Words can not express my gratitude!! Henry's you ROCK!!!
