This location is good with plenty of seating, but i like the vibe of the carolina beach location better. I have liked everything i have tried here. Oyster poboy was great and had a Lot of oysters on it.
If you aren't completely satisfied the first time, please make your feelings known and come back again. The 'Shack doesn't disappoint.
I stopped in here for a quick bite for lunch, and because I wanted to grab some oysters since I'm not from the coast. The staff was super nice, the atmosphere was very laid back. Although, I'd describe the patrons as mostly older folks escaping the mid-day sunshine for a couple beers. I got a half dozen oysters which were pretty decent, as well as the tuna tacos which were definitely on point. I definitely think for a hole in the wall, this place is great. Will likely be back on my next visit to the area!
We tried this place on a recommendation. It is small and cramped. When compared to other places offering seafood it is sub par. We were unhappy with our meal and will not be back.
Seasonal results may vary. With that being said, the bar is the place to be! The oysters were steamed to my standards. Which has come to be expected.
Meh. The service was very bar oriented. The oysters were delicious and the drinks were about average. I had to wait several minutes and then ask for my water to be refilled. There should have been more than 2 girls for service. Be warned, absent the bar, there isn't very much seating at all for food focused patrons. It's worth a go if it's not crowded or there isn't a wait.
