This is one of the best animal hospitals I've ever seen. The staff is friendly and thorough. Not to mention it's clean, very clean. The care provided is excellent and the value can't be beat. This is the place to go for your animal care...
So my 10 lb pekingese Chihuahua mix Roxie thought it would be a good idea to chance a squirrel by going out the car window after it. Thankfully he car was only going about 10 mph though the neighborhood. She has a pretty good skin up on her leg and I thought it would be a good idea to have her checked out for any internal damage since she is such a small dog and jumped out a moving vehicle. I called my regular vet at the country vet and they could not get her in, they recommend taking her to college road for the emergency services since this happen around 5pm. They were about to check her over making sure she didn’t have any other problems then the skint up leg, gave her some pain meds and put staples in her leg along with antibiotics so prevent infection. The staple job is one of the cleanest I have ever seen and I used to work as a vet tech in high school. The staff was friendly and not overly push for other treatments. It was pricey but for an emergency service about what I was thinking it would be. I like my regular vet but if I ever need an emergency veterinarian again I would not hesitate bringing her here! Highly recommend!
I would give College Road Animal Hospital a 10 out of 5 if I could! I brought my very sick cat to them after being sent all over town. Nobody could give an official diagnosis for what was wrong with my sweet kitty. CRAH's treatment plan was much more aggressive than other hospitals and it is what finally helped her to get better! They never tried to run unnecessary and expensive tests on her like other hospitals wanted. One of the most stressful weeks ever was put at ease by working with the friendly and welcoming staff. I received multiple calls from doctors daily giving updates about my cat. They also have a wonderful payment plan which helps pet owners not stress about finances and focus on their pet getting better. Needless to say College Road Animal Hospital has my business! I highly recommend this vet to anyone in the Wilmington area.
Wonderful staff and great weekend hours! They have this new app called PetDesk which makes scheduling appointments seriously easy. When you walk in, you can smell the cleanliness immediately. Both veterinarians I've seen so far (sorry I forgot their names) are professional, kind, and efficient. I don't think I've ever stayed longer than an hour, and that's with long lines and blood tests! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Our first visit was the best! The staff was warm and friendly. Everyone wanted to hold and cuddle my new baby. As we entered the exam room, there was a greeting for Prince Benjamin welcoming him. So sweet!! Love our new veterinarian, tech, and staff :-)
