I had multiple surgeries on my hand Friday. They sent me home with a small amount of low milligram pain meds. I have been in so much pain. I first called the after hours number Saturday night in so much pain and was told there was nothing they could do for me because they don’t give meds out after office hours!! if I was in that much pain then I needed to go to the emergency room. I told her I couldn’t afford it Because i had to pay money up front just to have my surgery. So then I called this morning requesting a refill and to talk to the doctor. I explained that I only had a few left and was in a lot of pain. I called at 8:30 am. By 4:30 I heard nothing back so I called again. They assured me the doctor would call me back. It is now 7:20 pm and no call! Im in excruciating pain! I live almost 2 hours away! I don’t even go back until the 21st to get my stitches out! They didn’t even offer to bring me in to make sure I was okay! I am so hurt and upset at the lack of care I have received. I will have to look for another orthopedic doctor and office to finish taking care of me!!
I would normally give them a five-star but today I am giving them a one-star I would give them less if I could. I have been waiting since June to see doctor moore. I arrived 25 minutes early for my appointment got checked in sat in the waiting room for over 40 minutes just for one of the ladies to come out and say that he was running an hour and a half behind that a lot of us would need to reschedule. So I go up to reschedule the next opening is it until January 18th mind you I've been waiting since June to be seen. I will not be going back to this place I drove all the way from Jacksonville which is an hour and a half drive for me for no reason. I understand that some patients take longer than others but an hour and a half behind is a little ridiculous needless to say I wasn't the only one pissed off
I ended up going to Carolina Sports Medicine for my torn rotator cuff and it was like day and night. I have nothing but praise for them.
Are there any other places in Wilmington to go to for a rotator cuff repair?
Awful, awful, awful customer service. Three surgeries in total. After the first, the woman in the casting room (she spoke spanish) knocked my foot and NEVER said sorry even when I was screaming out in pain. There was a pin sticking out and everything. Right before the third surgery, EmergeOrtho took almost $300 from me without processing the claim through my insurance and now? The insurance company says I don't owe them anything for the surgery and guess what? EmergeOrtho is refusing to refund me that amount. Sad, and let me just say one more thing, that third surgery was to correct a complication. The first two involved cutting off my heel bone and screwing it back in and taking bone grafts from my hips. Sounds like an inpatient procedure? This was an outpatient procedure. I barely made it home.
* I had to agree that I would be open to surgery before he'd authorize an MRI. No other option were offered.

* I waited almost two hours past my appointment time.
I've lost track of the number of phone calls, voice mail and snotty staff that I've been transferred to but gave up today. It's nothing to be put on hold for over 15 minutes. All I want to do is make an appointment. They may be too big to function. I talked to four people before anyone knew if they took VA reimbursement. However, she didn't call me back as promised and I was never able to get to her again so I started all over again trying to find someone who knew what I was talking about. One would say that the approval had been received then transfer me to someone who snottily insisted that I had no approval. It must be a nightmare to work there and I certainly don't trust them to cut into me - probably wouldn't even get the correct arm.
* To say that he was perfunctory would be an understatement. He cut off any of my attempts to provide additional information. If surgery is the best option, I will NOT allow him to do it. I'm afraid it would be the same as my exam - which I can only describe as slap-and-dash.
I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN MY DOCTOR WAS HIGH. HIS NAME IS RAYMOND JOLLY. IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED HIM IT IS NOT WORTH THE VISIT. HE IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! I just went here for an injured knee. The doctor did not listen to my symptoms, and was inconsiderate to my pain. He could not remember which knee was injured and ordered a shot for the wrong knee... I have a knee brace on and he couldn't tell left from right. Also the staff was insensitive and lazy. Honestly this was the worst experience from any physicians office that I have ever been to. Utterly disgraceful. He told me to call in 5 days and wrote on my discharge sheet 5 weeks.
* I had to fill out a LENGTHY history on a tablet in addition to the same information on a multi-page paper form.
* Finally, the waiting room was so cold that all of the staff were wearing sweaters. I had to go outside and stand to thaw out.
* When I was finally seen by Dr. Foster, I could tell that he looked at only the paper form since he suggested a drug that I was already taking. He quickly paged through it during my exam.
My primary care sent me here and I'd forgotten my previous experience. I wish that I could leave another one-star review for the following reasons.
