Do not bother with the protection plan and do not let them set up your Synchrony Bank account. I bought a large sectional couch from this store and a protection plan to go with it. They claimed the protection plan was great and would cover me as I moved around with the Military. This was not true. The Guardsman protection plan would not fix my couch when a recliner broke because of some technicality. I bought the couch on a 18 month 0% interest plan and they set up my account wrong so that it was not paid off in 18 months and I had to pay a significant amount of interest to which they would not even entertain taking responsibility for their mess up. I’m never buying from Haverty’s again after this awful experience.
Everything went well until we needed service for our couch. We noticed a spring getting a creaking sound and a couple stains that wouldnt come all the way out. We bought the insurance.. so.. no problem right? Wrong. The spring is handled by Havertys.. the stain by the insurance company. Insurance company wants our sales person's name, our original receipt, pictures, DNA sample, first born child.. because sure I've got the receipt for a couch I bought a year ago. The technician for the spring.. is like working with the cable company. Here I sit.. with my two hour window already expired and customer service says it'll only be another hour. Good times.
Great service, quality furniture
My husband and I were buying a new bedroom set for our master. We had been to about 5 other stores before finally ending at Haverty's. We worked with Gracie and she was amazing. Unlike sales associates at the other stores who swarmed us like buzzards, Gracie let us browse the store and didn't pressure us to make a decision. The furniture there is also top of the line: cedar lined drawers, solid wood and dovetail finishing. You will not find better quality, price or service anywhere else. Gracie- you've made us a Haverty's customer for life. And we LOVE our bedroom set!
