I am really not one to complain but... My boyfriend and I made reservations about a month in advanced (for the marine core ball) just because we knew there would not be one room open in wilmington if we didn't. on the day of the ball we received a call at 9 am, a woman saying that they payment did not go through. my boyfriend told her, the payment will go though later on that evening. she said that was fine and hung up. as we were trying to check in a few hours later, the same woman told us that our room was given away. we were furious. our whole day was set up around checking in at the hotel and getting ready there.The woman never told us that if we did not pay by a certain time that our room would be given away. we asked to speak to the so called "Manager" and he told us sorry but the most he could do was talk to the woman we spoke to on the phone. we were stuck with no room and the ball starting in an hour. When we asked him if we could speak to someone higher , he told us that he was " highest as it goes". He offered nothing to make up for their mistake. These people need to work on their customer service. They need to work on informing people if their rooms are going to be given away on such a known busy night. they really screwed us over. will never ever make reservations with them again.
The staff were friendly - other than the female manager who told us right off she was not having a good day. The room was clean and orderly but the bed was horrible. It was little more than a noisy, lumpy, old set of wire box springs with some foam ribber and a 1 inch thick pillow topper. You can actually feel the steel springs through the thin padding. We got very little sleep. We booked three nights but only stayed one. The manager would not make any adjustment to the bill. So much for their satisfaction guarantee. We won't be staying here again. I cannot recommend this place. There are plenty of other hotel choices in the area so avoid this place.
We were evacuated from our home due to Hurricane Irma. We were terrified. Beth and Amber were amazing. We drove 10 hours with our four children and when we arrived Amber made us feel at home. We loved our room and beds were very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and we had a great time despite we may not of had a home to come back to. They were extremely empathetic to our situation and beyond accommodating. We will definitely come back hopefully under better circumstances. Thank you to Beth, Amber and ALL Comfort Suite staff.
Very neat, tidy and clean facility. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Surprisingly modern and well equipped room for the price. Honestly for the level of quality experienced here on this particular trip there isn’t really much reason to spend a ton at a “higher end” place unless you’re trying to impress someone with how much you can spend for no reason...
It was very clean, and everyone was super nice. My only complaint was that the bed had a lot in common with a slab of granite. I didn't say anything at the time because I was only staying for one night, but I feel like they would've been very accommodating had I said something. I do have plans to stay here again the next time I'm in Wilmington, but I'll be sure to ask for a soft bed.
