I have NEVER been so infuriated in my life my husband and I recently stayed here and I noticed a bug on the wall I was able to capture it in a tissue and I took it my husband to identify as he is in Pest Control and he confirmed my worst fear!!! I immediately went to the phone and called the front desk to ask for a manager to visit our room so that I could discreetly share our findings. To make long story short be made himself unavailable. His lack of concern was unbelievable. When checking out we asked to speak to him but guess what he was in another meeting but we stayed to talk to him big mistake he could have cared less HONESTLY!!! Bed bugs knows NO social climate but it would sure be nice to know to protect your guests and their best interests. Treating a home for them can be VERY costly!! Please think twice before considering staying at this hotel. We were not given any kind of adjustment on our bill. so strongly suggest there managers need to be educated on their people skills and handling situations as this with diplomacy and integrit. I WILL NEVER STAY IN ANY OF THEIR HOTELS OR THEIR AFFILIATES (CARLSON) NOR WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO!!
A U.S. Marine was denied a room last night at your hotel because he was "under 21" and not with a parent?. He was heading home from camp for thanksgiving. This "under 21" year old man can be sent off to fight for our country but is denied a good nights sleep in a hotel? luckily a local Best western hotel took care of the young soldier. Country inn needs to review this policy....
I’m really not one to complain but, My boyfriend and I made reservations about 2 months in advance for the marine core ball. We had everything set up around checking in and getting ready at the hotel. At 9 am (the day of the ball )we get a call saying that the payment would not go through. So my boyfriend said , it will go through later that day . The woman on the phone said that was fine and hung up. We go to check in (a few hours later) and they gave away our reservations. They never told us that we had to pay by a certain time or our room would be given away . The women we spoke too never told us anything about losing our reservations. So we were stuck with no room and with all the hotels being booked everywhere in Wilmington. We asked to speak to her manager and we asked him what he was going to do about this and all he could tell us was he was going to talk to the woman we spoke to on the phone. We also asked him who was above him so we could talk about what happened and he said he is the highest but he’d give us a number to call but that they would send us right back to him.They need to really work on their customer service and informing customers when they are going to lose their room on a very busy night. Caused so much stress . Will never ever make reservations with them again.
Seemingly dozens of room options and bed sizes to accommodate anyone: king, queen, full; 1 bed or 2; small room, large room, suite. You can even get a room with a hot tub in it! Staff was friendly and helpful. Room could've been cleaner, but I feel that way about all hotels. Hot breakfast available (none of that "continental" bs), large indoor pool, small gym, etc. The best part? Strong WiFi that's actually fast!
Very nice hotel! Room was clean and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. If I'm ever in the Wilmington area again I will definitely stay here again.
