My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Taylor House Inn. Our room was spacious and clean and Scott, the innkeeper, was very nice and helpful in suggesting nearby activities and restaurant options. I would definitely recommend this b&b to anyone staying in Wilmington. It's a beautiful house and conviently located just a short walk away from the downtown area!
Our visit was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and wonderfully decorated for a historic home. We stayed in the room "Love", that provided a very comfortable night's sleep. Scott was very entertaining and helpful for any of our needs during our stay. We would most definitely recommend a stay for anyone looking for simple relaxation and will stay again on another trip.
If you're looking for a place to stay in busy downtown Wilming, THIS is you're place! It's located on a quaint brick street with huge oak trees and even bigger historic homes. The first thing I noticed when we pulled up was the beautiful porch swing on a spacious front porch. I wish we would have staid for more than one night so I could have used the porch even more than I did. The inside was beautiful, warm, and welcoming. On every shelf and in every nook there are pieces of antiques that they have collected over the years, along with a few family pictures :) the old wooden stairs leading up to our room told me that they had seen more history than I even knew. (I'm a sucker for older homes!) We had the pleasure of staying in the "Love Room." The pictures online don't do this room justice. It's spacious, elegant, and beautifully decorated. From the lace over the windows to the original tile in the bathroom, I just wanted to cancel our plans and cuddle up in our room. The fluffy towels, bath salts, and claw tub made my night! In the morning we had coffee waiting for us right outside of our room, followed by mouth watering homemade French toast, sausage, and fruit. Scott was truly a blessing and treated us like family. I can't wait to go back!

Windows with lace accents, lush towels, and bedding that begged for someone to retire early made the room the perfect home away from home. In the hallway between the rooms was a silver tray with tea, which would magically become coffee and hot water in the morning before breakfast was served. And then breakfast consisted of scrumptious fruit parfait and French toast, the perfect start to a beautiful Wilmington morning. Thank you Scott, for making the dreaminess of vacation stay alive in my memory. I will always stay here whenever the coast is calling my name. You're wonderful!
Very disappointing. It was awkward staying when most guests were same sex couples. Would have liked to have a choice for breakfast.
